Identify Sounds: By focusing on phonemes (the smallest units of sound in a language – 44 in English language)similar sounds become less challenging to pronounce.

Improve Pronunciation: Using phonetic transcriptions (the symbols used for the individual sounds – most common is the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet)), helps to learn the correct pronunciation of words and to internalize their sounds accurately.
